Alocef-CV Dry
Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination is used to treat bacterial infections by both combating the bacteria and inhibiting bacterial enzymes (beta-lactamases) that could degrade cefpodoxime, enhancing its efficacy.
This formulation is typically used in pediatric patients or others who may have difficulty swallowing tablets, as it comes in a suspension form.
