Indications

- Bipolar Disorder: Sometimes used in the treatment of mania or mood stabilization in bipolar disorder.

Dosage and Administration
Schizophrenia
o Initial Dose: Typically, 50 mg once or twice a day, with the dose being adjusted based on response and individual needs.
o Maximum Dose: The daily dose may be increased up to 400 mg or more, depending on clinical response and tolerance.
Bipolar Disorder: The dosage can start at 50 mg daily and may be increased based on the patient's condition.
It is generally taken once or twice daily with or without food.
Precautions
Heart Issues: Use with caution in patients with cardiac conditions, such as arrhythmias or QT prolongation.
Kidney or Liver Disease: Caution is needed in patients with renal or hepatic impairments, as Amisulpride is processed in these organs.
Elderly Patients: Older adults may be more prone to side effects such as sedation and movement disorders.
