Miconazole 2% cream is an antifungal medication used to treat various superficial fungal infections of the skin. It works by inhibiting the growth of fungi, thereby reducing infection and symptoms like itching, redness, and scaling.

  • Tinea infections (ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch)
  • Candidiasis (skin yeast infections)
  • Pityriasis versicolor (a fungal infection that causes discolored patches on the skin)
  • Seborrheic dermatitis (inflammation and flakiness, especially on the scalp)
Dosage and Administration

Application: Apply a thin layer of Miconazole 2% cream to the affected area once or twice daily.

Instructions: Clean and dry the affected skin before applying. Gently rub the cream into the skin.

Duration: Typically used for 2-4 weeks, depending on the severity of the infection. Complete the full prescribed treatment course, even if symptoms improve early, to ensure the infection is fully cleared.

Precautions
