Indications
Nimesulide is commonly used for the relief of:
- Musculoskeletal pain: E.g., back pain, muscle strains, joint pain, or sprains
- Arthritis-related pain: Relieving pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis
- Soft tissue injuries: Including sprains, strains, and contusions
- Minor aches and pains: Such as those from physical exertion, overuse, or injury
Dosage and Administration
Application: Apply a thin layer of the gel/cream to the affected area 2-3 times daily or as directed by your healthcare provider.
Instructions
o Gently massage the gel/cream into the skin over the affected area.
o Wash hands thoroughly after applying the product (unless treating the hands).
o Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin.
o Do not use with heat (e.g., heating pads) as it may increase the risk of irritation or burns.
Duration: The duration of use depends on the severity of the condition. Generally, the product is used for short-term relief of acute pain or inflammation.
Precautions
Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may experience skin irritation, redness, or itching. If these symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Avoid Contact with Eyes: The product should not come into contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water.
Gastrointestinal Risk: Although it is applied topically, Diclofenac Diethylamine is absorbed through the skin in small amounts, and caution should be exercised if the patient has a history of gastrointestinal issues, such as ulcers or bleeding.
Liver/Kidney Function: Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disorders, and ensure regular monitoring if used long-term.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: The safety of this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. Consult your healthcare provider before use.
Sun Sensitivity: Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds on the treated areas to prevent skin irritation.
