Oxifit-M Inj.

OXIFIT-M is a combination injectable formulation designed to address various neurological and metabolic conditions. It contains Methylcobalamin (a form of vitamin B12), Niacinamide (a form of Vitamin B3), and Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6). This combination provides essential vitamins that support nerve health, reduce inflammation, and improve metabolic processes.

  • Recommended Usage
Indications

OXIFIT-M Inj. is typically used for the treatment and management of the following conditions:

  • Neuropathy: Including diabetic neuropathy and other forms of peripheral nerve damage.
  • Nutritional Deficiency: In cases of vitamin B12, B3, or B6 deficiency.
  • Cognitive and Memory Disorders: Associated with B12 deficiency, such as in cases of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Metabolic Disorders: For supporting metabolic processes involving B6, B12, and niacin.
  • Anemia: Specifically those related to B12 deficiency.
  • Fatigue and Weakness: Conditions that involve muscle weakness or fatigue due to vitamin deficiencies.
  • Peripheral Neuropathy: In conditions like diabetes where nerve damage results from metabolic changes.
Dosage and Administration
  • Route of Administration: Intramuscular (IM) or Intravenous (IV) injection.
  • Typical Dose for Adults:
    • For Neuropathy and Deficiency Treatment: 1 injection of 1000 mcg (1 ml) once or twice a week depending on the severity of the condition. Maintenance doses may be prescribed once a month after the initial treatment phase.
    • For Cognitive Support or General Fatigue: Typically, 1 injection per week for a period of 2-3 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose as advised by a healthcare provider.
  • Administration: The injection should be administered by a healthcare professional. It is typically injected intramuscularly (IM), deep into the muscle, or intravenously (IV) if required.
Precautions
  • Hypersensitivity: Contraindicated in patients who have known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to Methylcobalamin, Niacinamide, or Pyridoxine.
  • Renal or Hepatic Impairment: Caution should be used in patients with liver or kidney problems, as the drug components may be metabolized or excreted differently.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Methylcobalamin, Niacinamide, and Pyridoxine are generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding in recommended doses, but the injection should only be used under medical supervision.
  • Interaction with Other Medications: May interact with certain drugs like levodopa (used for Parkinson's disease) and isoniazid (for tuberculosis). Always consult a healthcare provider before starting this medication if you are on other treatments.
  • Vitamin B12 Overdose: Excessive B12 is typically non-toxic, but caution is needed to avoid unnecessary high doses.
Benefits
  • Supports Nerve Health: Methylcobalamin is a highly bioavailable form of vitamin B12, which plays a key role in maintaining nerve function and healing damaged nerves, particularly in neuropathy.
  • Improves Metabolic Processes: Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) helps in maintaining healthy metabolism and supports energy production, especially in tissues requiring high energy, like muscles and nerves.
  • Promotes Red Blood Cell Production: Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is essential for the formation of red blood cells and maintaining proper nerve function.
  • Reduces Symptoms of Deficiency: Helps in managing conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, fatigue, and muscle weakness associated with deficiencies of these vitamins.
  • Fast-Acting: The injectable form provides faster absorption and quicker results compared to oral vitamin supplements.
  • Non-Toxic in High Doses: The combination of vitamins in OXIFIT-M is generally well-tolerated, with minimal risk of toxicity due to the water-soluble nature of the vitamins.
