Dosage and Administration
Application: Apply a thin layer of Clotrimazole 2% cream to the affected area once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare provider.
Instructions:
o Clean and dry the affected skin before applying the cream.
o Gently rub the cream into the affected area and surrounding skin.
Duration:
o For Tinea infections: Treatment typically lasts for 2-4 weeks.
o For Candidiasis and Pityriasis versicolor: Treatment may last for 2-4 weeks, depending on the severity.
Precautions
Avoid Eyes: Prevent the cream from coming into contact with the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water.
Allergic Reactions: If irritation, itching, or swelling occurs at the site of application, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before using Clotrimazole during pregnancy or while breastfeeding to weigh potential risks and benefits.
Skin Irritation: If the skin condition worsens or fails to improve after a few weeks of use, consult your doctor for alternative treatment.
