Zesept Powder

Clotrimazole 2% powder is an antifungal medication used to treat various superficial fungal infections on the skin. It is a part of the azole antifungal class, and it works by inhibiting the growth of fungi by interfering with their cell membrane synthesis, ultimately leading to fungal cell death.

Indication
  • Tinea infections (such as athlete's foot, ringworm, and jock itch)
  • Candidiasis (fungal infections caused by Candida species, especially in moist areas like the groin or underarms)
  • Pityriasis versicolor (a fungal infection that causes discolored patches on the skin)
  • Seborrheic dermatitis (inflammation that causes dandruff, scaling on the scalp, and skin)
Dosage and Administration

Application: Apply a thin layer of Clotrimazole 2% powder to the affected area after cleaning and drying the skin.

Instructions:

Sprinkle the powder on the infected area once or twice daily, as directed by your healthcare provider.

Ensure the area is dry before applying the powder to prevent moisture buildup.

Duration:

For Tinea infections: Treatment usually lasts 2-4 weeks.

For Candidiasis: Treatment typically lasts for 2-4 weeks, depending on the severity.

For Seborrheic dermatitis and Pityriasis versicolor, follow the recommended duration as directed by a healthcare professional.

Precautions

Avoid Eyes: Ensure the powder does not get into your eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes. If this happens, rinse thoroughly with water.
